Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives? Welcome to a municipality that is far from average!

The responsibility of the Care and Social Services Administration is to provide care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as support their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and secure living situation – around the clock, with the citizen in focus. We are 2,500 employees who, in our various roles, provide support and care to the citizens who need it.

This is a project position for the year 2026, with the possibility of continued work within home care services after the project period ends.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Specialist Nursing Assistant (Specialistundersköterska), you are part of the regular operations within home care services. You belong to the unit's work group, participate in APT (Assessment, Planning, Implementation) and work meetings, and collaborate closely with colleagues, unit managers, and business developers to create security, quality, and development in the operations.

The role is guiding and supportive within the work group and aims to strengthen the quality of daily care work. The work is carried out together with other employees and contributes to users receiving adequate care as well as a secure and meaningful everyday life.

Your role includes, among other things:

  • Performing nursing assistant tasks with a focus on individual needs and high quality.
  • Documenting your own work according to laws and supporting colleagues in documentation and implementation plans.
  • Supporting colleagues in follow-up, reporting, and documentation of deviations, as well as contributing to increased understanding and quality in the unit's working methods.
  • Mapping working methods, identifying areas for improvement, and contributing to continuous business development.
  • Participating in monthly spot checks, training, workshops, and result reviews with the aim of strengthening quality and learning.
  • Covering urgent needs.

The role involves a person-centered and professional approach, as well as a strong commitment to both users and the work group. The work is carried out based on the business's quality needs and may include both shorter and longer assignments at different units. We work ambulatorily throughout the entire home care service area. During placement at a specific unit, you direct work-related questions to the unit manager, who is then your nearest manager. In overarching structural matters, you are part of the project group led by the responsible unit manager for the project.

The work takes place Monday to Friday during daytime hours, which provides good predictability and balance between work and leisure.

We offer you

We offer an exciting role where you have the opportunity to make a real difference for both users and the work group, while developing your specialist competence in an engaged and professional environment. The role provides room to support colleagues and contribute to quality follow-up. You also have the opportunity to participate in training, workshops, and result reviews that strengthen both knowledge and working methods. Here you get the chance to grow and make a meaningful contribution in a person-centered operation where security, quality, and care are at the center.

You who apply to us

You are trained as a Nursing Assistant and have specialized training in elderly care or equivalent specialist competence of 200 YH credits.

Other requirements:

  • Good ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Category B driver's license.

Merits:

  • Experience in quality work.
  • Experience within home care services.
  • Experience working with the elderly.

Your communicative and guiding skills strengthen the work group and contribute to correct documentation and reporting. With analytical and development-oriented competence, you map working methods, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous improvements in the business.
