Description
Psykosvård Stockholm is a newly established unit within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). Here, we consolidate care for patients over 18 years of age with psychotic disorders into a single organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment in accordance with national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykosvård Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic disorders. We work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible care and treatment for the patient.
Job Responsibilities
As a PTP Psychologist, you will work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, focusing on the assessment, investigation, and psychological treatment of patients with psychotic disorders and related conditions. The work is carried out in close collaboration with physicians, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and other professions. Through this collaboration, you will conduct psychiatric and psychological assessment, investigation, and treatment work, gaining broad experience in various types of patient care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, psychological assessments and diagnostics, individual evidence-based treatment interventions, psychoeducation for patients and relatives, participation in care planning and team work, documentation and follow-up of care interventions, as well as involvement in operational development and quality work.
You will participate in a local PTP program together with PTP psychologists from Psykovård Stockholm, as well as a regional PTP program for all of SLSO.
You have the option to choose between three outpatient clinics for this position:
- Väsby Psychiatric Clinic 2, Upplands Väsby Centre
- The Centre Clinic, Solna Centre
- Specialist Psychiatric Clinic, Alvik Strand

Qualifications
You hold a degree in Psychology with a specialization in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
Previous experience in adult psychiatry and experience with neuropsychiatric assessments are meritorious.
We highly value your ability to work independently and in a structured manner, as well as your sound clinical judgment. Great emphasis is placed on good teamwork skills, flexibility, and personal suitability.
Conditions
Fixed-term employment for 12 months, starting on November 2, 2026.
The position is subject to the condition that it does not need to be filled by internal transfer, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing roles within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A background check will be conducted prior to the employment decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, conducted through the occupational health service before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
