Your Role

Do you want to work with tomorrow's unmanned systems in a highly technical environment? Saab is now looking for a Systems Engineer within UAS who will help develop, integrate, and further develop UAS platforms.

In this role, you will work with the integration and adaptation of UAS systems based on customer needs. You will become a key person in the team where hardware, software, and system solutions meet in practical deliveries. The work spans from technical analysis and configuration to testing, verification, and commissioning, both in laboratory environments and in the field.

Examples of tasks:

• Integration and adaptation: Integrate sensors, communication systems, and payloads, as well as further develop commercial UAS systems for various needs.
• Testing and optimization: Test, verify, and troubleshoot systems to optimize performance and stability.
• Projects and support: Participate in customer-close projects and contribute to installations and technical support.
• Documentation: Document solutions and develop our integration processes.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is structured, meticulous, and enjoys both administration and practical problem-solving. You have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy learning new systems. Since you will have many contact surfaces, it is important that you are communicative and enjoy collaborating with others.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Education in mechatronics, vehicle technology, electronics, or equivalent work experience.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Good understanding of software and hardware.

We meet you where you are in your development and welcome both those at the beginning of their career and those who have already worked for a few years with, for example, system integration, electronics, or embedded systems. The most important thing for us is that you have a strong interest in technology and want to learn more about the UAS area. If you also have an understanding of how commercial UAS platforms are built, or practical experience in configuring and modifying drones, it is a big plus. Experience from the defense industry and knowledge of communication solutions are also meritorious.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
