Mechanical Designer often also serves as the Project Manager. This means you are ultimately responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time and that the customer receives the machine they ordered. (Satisfied customer)

As we manufacture special machines which can be large-scale projects, it is important to be flexible and organized. You are the hub of the network and have the main responsibility for ensuring all tasks are completed.

However, it is a team effort that ultimately requires all departments to do their part.

Responsibilities

• Create layout drawings
• Create detail drawings
• Perform strength calculations when needed.
• Assist the sales department with technical support and documentation.
• Create detailed lists of components (mechanical components).
• Purchase project-specific details and materials. (together with the purchaser)
• Perform post-calculations
• Conduct risk analyses (with electrical and mechanical design managers)
• Project management
• Manual documentation (together with the manual coordinator)
• FAT tests (together with Aftermarket)
• Customer contact (together with sales)
• Document your work, follow up, and make necessary changes.
• Call and lead meetings.

Qualifications:

• Design in Solidworks.
• Use of Solidworks PDM system.
• Basics of FEM calculations in SolidWorks.
• Basics of the Wisma administration program.
• English proficiency in speech and writing.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
