Quality Technician at Willo AB

Willo AB is a high-tech, expanding company focused on cutting machining. Founded in Växjö in 1956, Willo AB has developed into a leading company in the production of small, critical-function components. We currently have approximately 140 employees and an annual turnover of around 267 MSEK. Read more about us at www.willo.se.

We are looking for a Quality Technician who wants to help develop and strengthen our quality work at Willo. The role involves close collaboration with production and engineering functions, where you contribute to ensuring high product quality, driving improvement initiatives, and supporting the organization with quality-related matters.

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Technician, you work closely with operations to develop, ensure, and monitor the company's quality work.

You are responsible for handling and following up on complaint cases, analyzing deviations, and proposing corrective and preventive actions. A key part of the role is supporting the organization with issues related to product quality, standard requirements, and regulatory compliance, while ensuring that operations adhere to defined processes and working methods.

The role includes participating in and contributing to implementation projects where you represent the quality department. You work with risk analyses and FMEA together with cross-functional project teams consisting of, for example, mechanical engineers, operators, and metrology technicians. Furthermore, you contribute to the development of processes, control plans, control instructions, and other parts of the company's quality management system.

The work also includes monitoring quality-related statistics, documenting deviations, and collaborating with the purchasing function regarding supplier quality follow-up. As needed, you may also work with receiving inspection, final inspection, and handling of non-conforming products.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in quality work within the manufacturing industry, along with strong technical skills and interest in manufacturing processes.
  • Good knowledge of reading technical drawings, metrology, and quality work.
  • Experience working according to established quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 13485.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements, standards, and regulatory demands and translate them into practical working methods within the business.
  • Experience working in cross-functional projects and preferably with risk analyses such as FMEA.
  • Technical education at least at the upper secondary level or equivalent work experience.
  • Very good proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Your profile:

We are looking for you who are driven and confident, with a strong interest in technology and a good understanding of the manufacturing industry. You thrive in an operationally close role where you support the organization with quality-related matters.

You have the ability to quickly grasp new requirements, interpret them, and translate them into functional working methods within the business. At the same time, you have a holistic view and can, when necessary, dive into details to analyze problems and find solutions.

As a person, you are proactive, communicative, and enjoy collaborating in cross-functional teams. You contribute ideas, take responsibility, and feel comfortable in a role where you develop working methods and processes together with colleagues.
