Markverkstad Boden is a department within the Army Staff, with approximately 180 employees. We operate in Boden, Luleå, Arvidsjaur, Vidsel, Umeå, Östersund, and Sollefteå. You will be part of the Combat Vehicle Section together with 30 other colleagues.
We perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and provide technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment surveys.
Main Responsibilities
As a mechanic here, you will primarily work with combat vehicles, tanks, recovery tracked vehicles, and their subsystems. You will work with troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and modification of combat vehicles. Other types of vehicles may also be involved. The work will also offer opportunities for further development within equipment systems. Internal training during working hours will be available.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- You have at least a two- or three-year upper secondary education in vehicle technology, industry, or other education/competence acquired through professional experience that the employer considers equivalent.
- You have relevant experience of work or practice in a similar field.
- General computer literacy.
- Category B driver's license.

MERITORIOUS
- The Swedish Armed Forces' mechanic training on any vehicle system is desirable, alternatively system technician training.
- Experience working with the Swedish Armed Forces' equipment and vehicles.
- Forklift license.
- Electrical training/electrical understanding.
- Hydraulic training/hydraulic understanding.

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period.
Employment level: Full-time, daytime – varying working hours may be applied.
Work location: Boden.
Start date: As soon as possible after agreement.
The work also involves requirements for travel and duty, both domestic and international. The position is a civil appointment.
Since the job is often physically demanding, it is important that you have good physical fitness.
