District Nurse at Södertull Health Centre, Gävle

Södertull Health Centre is located in the southern part of central Gävle in a beautiful historic building, within walking distance of the city center and train station, with excellent public transport connections. We have approximately 45 employees and offer a wide range of healthcare services, including a doctor's office staffed by permanent physicians, district nursing services, Child Health Services (BVC), home care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and a psychosocial team. We are also responsible for several care and nursing homes as well as the Migration Agency's detention center in Gävle, and we run several specialist clinics. As a training center, we focus on guiding medical and nursing students into the workforce.

Job Responsibilities

As a District Nurse/Registered Nurse, you will work in a team with doctors and other staff at the health center. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills as a primary care contact for some of our most vulnerable patients. You will enjoy a varied daily routine with many different tasks and areas of responsibility, including participation in the family doctor on-call service when needed.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Telephone advice and guidance
• Clinic work, both scheduled and emergency
• Home visits and care planning

To qualify for the role of District Nurse/Registered Nurse, you must be a licensed Registered Nurse or have completed specific District Nurse training.
