About the Company

Saab is a leading defense and security company with the mission to help nations protect their populations and contribute to the safety of people and communities. With 28,000 talented employees, Saab develops technology and solutions for a safer and more sustainable world.

Saab develops, manufactures, and maintains advanced systems within aerospace technology, weapons, command and control systems, sensors, and underwater systems. Saab is headquartered in Sweden but has a global presence, where Saab is part of the defense capability of many nations.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Occupational Health and Safety Consultant, you will support Saab Aeronautics in risk assessments of chemical products, with a focus on reducing an existing backlog. The work involves collecting and assessing information about chemicals based on safety data sheets, area of use, quantity, frequency, ventilation, protective equipment, and the location where the product is handled. Based on this, you will perform risk assessments directly in the Saab Chem system, ensuring that the assessments meet current occupational health and safety requirements.

The assignment is time-limited and is planned to start in August and continue until the turn of the year. The need is linked to a temporary project, and the work takes place at Saab's site in Tannefors with the possibility of hybrid work.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a background in chemistry, chemical handling, or occupational health and safety with a connection to chemical products. You have a good understanding of the risks associated with working with chemicals and are confident in interpreting safety data sheets and translating that information into practical risk assessments.

We would like you to:

  • Have relevant education or experience in chemistry or chemical handling.
  • Be accustomed to reading and interpreting safety data sheets and performing risk assessments.
  • Have at least 1–2 years of experience in risk assessment of chemical products, preferably in a production-oriented environment.
  • Be meticulous, responsible, and work in a structured manner.
  • Have an easy time quickly adapting to new ways of working and contributing to ongoing work.

Experience with iChemistry or similar systems is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

Application Process

This is a consulting assignment lasting until the turn of the year. The start date for the position is in August or as agreed. The selection process is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the final application date, so please submit your application today!

For questions, please contact the responsible recruiter: Lovisa Ternander, [email protected]

We look forward to receiving your application!
