Your new workplace
Our goal and driving force at Sundsvall Energi is that our operations in electricity, district heating, district cooling, energy services, and recycling should be good for both people and the environment, while contributing to the continued development of the Sundsvall region. We are the local alternative on the energy market, standing for courage, holistic thinking, and openness in our relationships. The main production of district heating and electricity takes place at the Korsta plant. At Blåberget, we handle waste for material and energy recovery as well as landfill. Sundsvall Energi is owned by Sundsvall Municipality and is part of Stadsbacken AB. We have approximately 120 employees and a turnover of over 700 million SEK. We work for sustainable development in Sundsvall and place great emphasis on a gender-equal and drug-free workplace.
Do you want to be the one who ensures our business is done right — commercially, sustainably, and in accordance with regulations?
We are now looking for a procurement specialist who wants to take a key role in further developing our purchasing function. Here you will work close to the core operations in a socially important organization, where every procurement contributes to sustainable energy supply and good resource management.
How you contribute in the role of Procurement Specialist
As a procurement specialist with us, you are responsible for planning, leading, and carrying out procurements within our areas of operation – from energy and infrastructure to real estate and technology.
You ensure that our procurements are conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU), internal policies, and municipal guidelines, and serve as a qualified support to managers and project organizations.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Plan and carry out procurements and call-offs from framework agreements
- Participate in construction and collaborative contracts
- Ensure correct requirement setting related to safety, environment, and technical standards
- Provide advice and conduct internal training on contracts and regulations
- Contribute to cost efficiency, risk management, and sustainability goals
- Follow up on contracts and strengthen contract compliance in collaboration with contract controllers
- Drive the development of working methods, processes, and digital tools
Your competence and experience
- Relevant university education in procurement, law, economics, or engineering – or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
- Experience in procurement, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience working in project organizations
- You are accustomed to negotiating and setting requirements, have worked in project organizations, and master Swedish very well in speech and writing.
Meritorious:
- Experience from the energy, water/wastewater, environmental, or infrastructure sector
- Experience in implementing digital processes and procurement systems
- Understanding of municipal governance models
Who are you?
To succeed in the role, you are structured, analytical, and confident in your assessments. You work independently but are good at building trust in your collaborations both internally and with suppliers.
You communicate clearly and pedagogically, and in a role that requires high integrity and impartiality, you always act professionally and principled.
We place great importance on personal suitability!
