The Orthopedic Clinic performs elective prosthetic surgery, primarily hip and knee replacements, at the highest level.

Our operations are based on clear, standardized processes and skilled staff with the patient at the center.

You will work in a team with nursing assistants and collaborate closely with consultants and physiotherapists. Your primary responsibility will be pre- and postoperative care.

The department is open Monday–Friday and is closed during major holidays and weeks 29–32.

About you

You are a registered nurse.

You have a positive attitude and put the patient's best interests first. You are responsible, attentive to the needs of care recipients, provide good treatment, and have a natural respect for others.

Important personal qualities we value include the ability to work independently and be flexible, as well as having good teamwork skills. We expect you to actively participate in the clinic's development, take individual responsibility, and work together with us towards our common goals.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Experience working on a ward is meritorious but not a requirement.

The introduction will be tailored to your previous experience.

At the Orthopedic Clinic in Oskarshamn, we are approximately 35 employees.

Oskarshamn Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County and has over 400 employees. It is a small hospital with short decision-making paths and close contacts between units. Services include medical specialist care, radiology, planned surgery, and orthopedics. The hospital is located close to Oskarshamn center and near the archipelago.
