At Kalmar County Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a developing and varied role where you meet patients with many different needs and diagnoses. We are now looking for occupational therapists who want to become part of our dedicated team within orthopedics, medicine, surgery, and geriatrics.
About the position
Based on the operations' needs and your experience, there is an opportunity to work with different patient groups and specializations.
In Geriatrics, you conduct activity, functional, and cognitive assessments, prescribe assistive devices, plan rehabilitation interventions, and collaborate on the patient's continued care and rehabilitation. You also participate in discharge assessments and contribute to creating good conditions for the patient's recovery and independence.
In orthopedics, surgery, and medicine, you work with patients with varying diagnoses and needs in a dynamic environment where early rehabilitation efforts are of great importance. Regardless of specialization, you work both independently and in close collaboration with physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, and other professions. Together, we create the best possible conditions for the patient's continued rehabilitation and recovery.
During a working day, you meet patients with different diagnoses, needs, and life situations, which provides stimulating work where you can use your full competence and continuously develop your clinical reasoning.
Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday.
