We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager (Structures) for a consultancy assignment with Trafikverket (The Swedish Transport Administration).

This is a consultancy role based in Skellefteå. The position is full-time and involves close collaboration with the client, requiring high flexibility and teamwork skills.

About the assignment

Trafikverket is currently seeking a Construction Manager (Structures) for Norrbotniabanan, one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects. Norrbotniabanan involves the construction of a new 270 km single-track railway between Umeå and Luleå. The project consists of several sub-projects with approximately 200 people in the client organization.

As a Construction Manager, you will become an integrated part of Trafikverket's project organization. You will work with planning of the production phase and construction management within road and railway projects in central Skellefteå. You will act as a support to the Project Manager in production-technical matters and be responsible for coordination, follow-up, and control of contracts regarding time, technology, quality, economy, environment, working environment, and safety.

The role includes, among other things, following up on contractors' work and self-inspections, coordinating with project managers, other construction managers, and contractors, participating in inspections and design work, keeping a daily log, and ensuring that contracts are executed according to agreements and set goals.

The assignment involves travel within the contract area and between Trafikverket's project offices in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Luleå. A personal car for work use and an AMA Premium license are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate construction management within the assigned contract.
• Support the Project Manager in production-technical matters.
• Follow up on contracts regarding time, technology, quality, economy, environment, working environment, and safety.
• Maintain daily contact with contractors and coordinate the work.
• Control contractors' work, self-inspections, and work preparation.
• Participate in inspections, design work, and review of technical solutions.
• Identify risks and deviations and propose measures.
• Document and report through daily logs, meeting minutes, and final documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, other construction managers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient production.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

a) At least 5 years of experience as Site Manager, Construction Manager, Sub-project Manager, Foreman, Project Manager, Assignment Manager, or equivalent for assignments regarding infrastructure contracts within road and/or railway. The work experience must not be older than 10 years (at least 50% employment rate per year of experience).

b) At least 3 years of experience as mentioned in point a) must be as a Construction Manager, Production Manager, or Foreman, alternatively Inspector within bridge projects regarding road and/or railway. (At least 50% employment rate per year of experience).

Verified via CV and reference assignments.

c) Experience and application of AMA Infrastructure 20 or later edition.

d) Experience and application of General Conditions (AB04).

e) Completed and approved training in Concrete Class 1.

f) Category B driver's license.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience from new construction projects of bridges, e.g., slab frame bridges, multi-span bridges, or equivalent bridge constructions.
• At least one year of experience in traffic safety work within road and/or railway projects.
• Completed training in APV Step 1.1 or higher, alternatively BAS-ENVIRON (Environmental Safety).
• Experience with foundation work through piling.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
