Do you want to ensure heat production for thousands of people while contributing to future energy solutions? We are now looking for a Shift Engineer to join our team in Östersund. Here you will have a central role with significant responsibility for the operation, optimization, and development of our facilities in a technologically advanced and socially vital operation.

About the job

As a Shift Engineer, you work on a rolling shift schedule with responsibility for operational planning, monitoring, and optimization of our facilities. In addition to contributing to the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the facilities, you will also:

  • Have operational leadership responsibility for your shift team
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to ensure high availability and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational disruptions
  • Identify long-term trends and contribute to the development of the business
  • Educate and mentor colleagues
  • Participate in strategic decisions regarding investments, process changes, and development initiatives
  • Be on call standby as required

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with several years of experience from the operation of combined heat and power plants or other advanced process industries, possessing a deep understanding of facility systems and integrations. You have a high school education with a focus on electricity/energy or technology, as well as a relevant qualified Higher Vocational Education (YH) degree. You have a good ability to analyze operational data, identify long-term trends, and translate your insights into practical improvement measures. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is also required for the position.

It is an advantage if you are certified as an Operator according to AFS 2017:3/2023:11, have good computer skills, and experience working in multiple different systems. Experience in leadership roles is also considered an advantage.

As a person, you are responsible, receptive, and collaborative. You are easy to share your knowledge with, communicate clearly, and work in a structured manner with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
