Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

Aerospace Systems is embarking on a growth journey, which means they need to strengthen their team with an experienced and driven leader within Strategic Sourcing Airframe Assembly. We are looking for a Section Manager for Strategic Sourcing with strategic purchasing responsibility for several specific categories. We are looking for you with experience leading negotiations in international environments and a passion for business. You will have an important role where you will have the opportunity to lead work on unique, challenging, and interesting purchasing assignments in international environments at a growing company.

You will lead and have personnel responsibility for a group of strategic buyers within one or more specific categories, as well as being personally responsible for a few suppliers. You are responsible for ensuring that the team's supplier contracts and performance meet requirements, while simultaneously enabling competitiveness through favorable terms and material costs. All of this to meet the requirements for sustainable profitability and competitiveness.

Your role will involve contact with both customers and suppliers, making travel a natural part of this assignment.

In addition to your external interfaces, you will in this role have close collaboration with various functions within the product unit's organization, as well as with the other two product units within BU Aerospace Systems.

As Section Manager Strategic Sourcing, you will be part of the leadership team for the product unit's Strategic Sourcing function and report to the Head of Strategic Sourcing Airframe Assembly.

Your Profile

Business acumen comes naturally to you, and you have the ability to see the big picture while understanding the importance of details. You have a relevant educational background and have worked with similar tasks previously, primarily with contracts against international customers and/or suppliers. Since supplier negotiation and relationship building are central parts of the role, you must possess good communication skills.

It is important that you have a genuine interest in people and leadership. Supporting and leading people around you to achieve common goals is close to your heart. You are passionate about business and about constantly making us all a little better every day. You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
