Do you want to contribute to a safer society? Are you an analytical person with experience in security work and a special interest in internal security? Then you might be the one we are looking for! Kungälv Municipality is seeking a Security Coordinator with a focus on internal security.

About the Position

As a Security Coordinator with a focus on internal security, you will work on developing and coordinating the municipality's strategic and operational work in this area. You will belong to the municipality's central security unit, which consists of the Security Manager, Business Manager, Security Coordinator, and Information Security Coordinator. Our mission is to support the municipality's sectors and operations in security and safety work.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support and train managers, employees, and elected officials in matters concerning threats and violence, threat assessments, and action planning.
• Support operations in the event of incidents.
• Be responsible for and further develop routines and processes within the field of internal security.
• Coordinate the municipality's work with personal alarms and cameras.
• Participate in event security work for the municipality's various events.
• Coordinate the work regarding the municipality's procured security guard services.
• Act as an advisor in internal security matters and participate in networks and collaboration with other actors.

We work closely together within the unit, and we have a good understanding of each other's tasks as well as the unit's collective responsibility and mission. You and your colleagues may need to support each other within our different areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have relevant post-secondary education, for example in social sciences, law, criminology, or security and safety. You have good knowledge of current legislation in the area as well as experience working with internal security, preferably from the public sector or government agencies.

You have good competence and experience in working with threat and risk assessments as well as incident management. You also have good communication skills, both written and verbal in Swedish, and work with high integrity and good judgment. It is also important that you are accustomed to handling sensitive information.

Experience of crisis management, security protection, and security technical solutions is an advantage.
