About the role
As a Machine Designer, you play a key role in our development of future equipment for agriculture, forestry, construction, and civil engineering. The work is diverse, offering great freedom and room for innovation. In the team, we work on both new concepts and ongoing development projects within mechanics and hydraulics. To achieve the best and most efficient results, we collaborate closely, both within R&D and with the rest of the organization internationally. To succeed in this role, we believe it is important that you have your own drive, take initiative, possess analytical skills, and are passionate about solving technical challenges.

You will be part of the development of new equipment, from concept to launched product. The process includes mechanical and hydraulic design, calculations, simulation (e.g., FEM), verification in field and lab environments, and the creation of drawing documentation. Further tasks include further development, product maintenance, and investigation of prioritized quality issues.

The position is permanent, located in Brännland, 15 km outside Umeå, and you will have the opportunity to work 2 days/week remotely.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is structured, positive, results-oriented, and proactive. You have a curiosity to develop technology and yourself, and you are not afraid to try new methods. As a person, you are responsible and strive to achieve common goals.

We expect you to have a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a few years of work experience in product development within a relevant field. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. Previous experience with welded structures and calculation/simulation (e.g., FEM) is advantageous.
