Maintenance Worker for Nyköping Arenas

Business, Culture and Leisure works to provide the residents, visitors, businesses, and associations of Nyköping Municipality with good service and a wide range of opportunities, experiences, and activities.

The division's overarching goal is to contribute to a sustainable society with a strong democracy, strong growth, and a good environment to work and live in. The division is divided into four operations and a support staff.

• The Business Unit supports and develops the local business community with the aim of creating growth in business.
• Tourism works for a vibrant and attractive place for residents, visitors, and tourists, and markets Nyköping as an attractive destination with the goal of sustainable growth and development of the visitor industry in Nyköping.
• Culture and Libraries, including the City Library, Music and Arts School, art activities, and the Children's Culture Centre, provide residents with experiences that enrich their leisure time and create conditions for democracy.
• Nyköping Arenas coordinates and arranges cultural and sports events, concerts, and festivals. They also operate arenas, facilities, and youth clubs, collaborating with associations and organizers at local, national, and international levels.

In addition to these four operations, there is a central support staff responsible for finance, administration, quality, procurement, strategy, and project management.

Job Responsibilities

Daily Operations

You will be an important part of daily operations, which are divided into four work areas:

• Ice Rink
• Indoor Environments
• Grass Areas
• The Stables

Your main tasks:

• Prepare and maintain all areas so that they are in good condition and ready for use.
• Be visible and available to our visitors.
• Provide service and assistance based on visitors' needs and requests.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and pleasant environment.

You will have a varied workday involving both practical work and interactions with people. Flexibility, responsibility, and a good attitude are important qualities in this role.

In addition to the daily work areas, you will, as needed, be able to participate in other tasks and projects within the Nyköping Arenas organization. This means you will have a varied and exciting assignment where you will have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to various operations and projects
• Collaborate with several teams and colleagues
• Develop through new experiences and work tasks

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least a completed upper secondary education and a Category B driver's license.

Meritorious qualifications include:

• A higher vocational education (YH) or other professional education considered equivalent within a trade area.
• C/CE driver's license.
• BE driver's license.
• Machinery experience.
• Forklift license.
• Lift license.

The position involves shift work according to a rolling 3-week schedule, with working hours during days, evenings, and weekends. This requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to different working hours, but also offers variety and the opportunity to be present when things happen – both during daily operations and at larger events.
