SSAB Oxelösund is now looking for an experienced Media/Mechanical Technician for Primary Metallurgy. Here, you will become an important part of a team working with advanced equipment and contributing to sustainable steel production.

As a Media/Mechanical Technician, you will work with mechanical maintenance and pipe welding within Primary Metallurgy, primarily towards the Coke Plant. The role involves planned maintenance to ensure long-term operational reliability, as well as emergency interventions when needed to keep production running in a safe and efficient manner.

Your main responsibilities

• Perform maintenance work on our mechanical equipment in the production plant.
• Participate in resolving disruptions and preventing them from recurring.

About you

We are looking for you with a welding/mechanical background and/or extensive knowledge in maintenance.

You must have a strong safety mindset, be organized, and service-oriented.

You should have good technical skills and the ability to perform maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner.

You are responsible, organized, and enjoy working with problem-solving.

You are not afraid to work at heights.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
