Why this job is right for you

You want to work with mechanics in systems that are technically complex, long-lived, and where details matter. You are accustomed to working in a structured manner, taking responsibility for your designs, and contributing to the bigger picture in larger projects.

At our company, you are expected to make technical decisions and be able to justify them. The work takes place in cross-functional projects where mechanics collaborate with systems, production, quality, and other disciplines. The projects are characterized by requirements, verification, and change management – not quick shortcuts.

We work with technology that is developed and maintained over long periods. This demands precision, documentation, and traceability. At the same time, it allows room for engineering solutions where function, robustness, and serviceability are central.

You will become part of our business area Hardware & Design, where we work on the development of physical products and technical systems from requirements and concepts to finished, verified solutions and industrialization.

Responsibilities

In the role of Mechanical Designer, you will work in projects where responsibility, structure, and collaboration are crucial. The work includes, among other things:

  • Mechanical design in complex products and systems
  • Analysis and breakdown of technical requirements into design solutions
  • Design with consideration for manufacturing, assembly, tolerances, and lifespan
  • Participation in technical reviews and change management
  • Collaboration with other technical disciplines throughout the entire development chain

Qualifications

You have experience in mechanical design in environments with high technical requirements and are accustomed to working methodically and with documentation. You take responsibility for your work and actively contribute to the project as a whole.

We would like you to have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience as a mechanical designer in complex development projects
  • Experience with CAD and PDM/PLM systems
  • Familiarity with requirements-driven development, technical documentation, and change management
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Experience from working in regulated, safety-critical, or long-term industrial environments is an advantage.
