About the Role

Do you want to become an important part of the energy transition? Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading contracting company within the energy and electricity sector, and we are developing Sweden's energy infrastructure! At us, you work in a future-oriented industry with a strong focus on a sustainable future. We need more energy heroes, and now we are looking for a Department Manager who wants to join the journey! Is that you? Together we make a difference, for the whole of society.

The department works within our major service agreements, primarily focusing on maintenance, service, and fault resolution, but also on new construction and projects. We work with both overhead and underground cable networks within the voltage range of 0.4–40 kV.

We are now looking for a Department Manager within the Business Area Lines East, based in Norrköping.

As Department Manager, you have full responsibility for working environment, economy, and results for a team of approximately 25 employees, consisting of technicians, project managers, preparers, and project support. Your areas of responsibility include the development of employees and operations in a business-oriented environment where safety is the highest priority. Examples of responsibilities and tasks:

  • Personnel and resource planning – keeping yourself and the department updated on services, ensuring safe working methods, and working towards further development and follow-up of methods and our delivery.
  • Economy – forecasting, budgeting, result and operational follow-up, as well as analysis of operations.
  • Customer contacts and development of existing and new business.
  • Involvement in tenders, bidding, and contract management.

The department is part of the Business Area Lines East. You report to the Business Area Manager and are part of a leadership group with seven fellow managers. We know we work best together, and in this role, you are given great opportunities to influence and contribute to the continued growth and development of the entire business area.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced leader with the ability to motivate and develop your employees. You are open, receptive, and set clear expectations – thereby creating high involvement and engagement. You thrive in a business-oriented environment without losing focus on working environment and safety. Finally, you are collaborative and have a good ability to collaborate both within and outside the organization.

We know you will develop together with us, but we would appreciate if you already have:

  • Experience from the contracting industry – preferably within electricity or energy, but you could also come from construction, infrastructure, or industry.
  • Experience in customer and supplier relations, economic follow-up, and contract management.
  • Leadership experience; having had personnel responsibility is seen as a plus.
  • Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Category B driver's license and ability to travel within the geographical area.

Additional Information

We offer

After several decades in the energy industry, we know that our employees are our most important and valuable asset. Therefore, we offer you a varied working day with great opportunities for personal and professional development. We are a large and secure employer that still feels familiar, where employee safety, well-being, and collaboration are important parts of our corporate culture!

At Vattenfall Services, you can make a difference, and together we take responsibility for a sustainable energy transition. Together, we give power to a fossil-free life.
