Your workplace - a developing and growing agency

Fortifikationsverket is a public agency with socially vital operations that is experiencing strong growth. One of our main tasks is to develop fortification competence for total defense. The Technology and Development of Fortification and Properties unit (TUFF) is responsible for fortification protection and consists of five groups: Program, Technical Supply, Product Development, Infrastructure and Property, and Protection Development, with a total of approximately 65 employees in various specialist roles.

The Protection Development group, consisting of eight employees, is responsible for developing protective technical solutions for total defense and providing technical support and training. Within the group, there are development engineers and specialists in physical protection, UAS/C-UAS (Unmanned Aerial System/Counter Unmanned Aerial System), and signature adaptation.

You will have a specific focus and responsibility within UAS/C-UAS and signature adaptation, and we are looking for someone with an interest in these areas. The role includes the following tasks:

• Lead development projects and create new protective products and other protective technical solutions.
• Act as Fortifikationsverket's contact person towards other agencies within total defense.
• Provide support to project managers and administrators at Fortifikationsverket during new construction, additions, and renovations of fortification facilities.
• Provide support to total defense within the specific area of UAS/C-UAS.
• Write instructions and conduct training within these areas.

Plannable travel is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university or college degree with a relevant technical focus, for example in technical physics or electronics. Alternatively, you have other education that the employer deems suitable. You may be a recent graduate or have gained experience in the field of protective technology.

You have very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English. It is also a requirement that you are a Swedish citizen, are a proficient user of the Office package, and have good administrative skills. A driver's license, class B, is also a requirement.

The following are meritorious:

• Experience in the area of unmanned aerial vehicles and systems (UAS/C-UAS) or signature adaptation.
• Work experience with protective products, protective technology, or similar.
• Experience in writing technical instructions and manuals.
• Experience in teaching.

About the employment

The position is permanent, although a probationary period may apply. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at Fortifikationsverket are security-classified.
