The Municipal Executive Office is responsible for the leadership and coordination of all municipal operations.
The administration includes several supporting and steering functions, such as HR, communication, finance, and IT.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a procurement specialist, you will be responsible, both independently and as part of a team, for the entire procurement process, from the initial needs analysis and discussions with the client to the drafting and follow-up of contracts, all with a clear business and operational focus. The procurements are varied and cover many exciting and interesting areas, such as goods, services, and construction projects.
The responsibilities also include supporting and guiding the municipality's clients in purchasing, procurement, and contract matters, participating in information and training initiatives, and performing other common tasks within purchasing and procurement.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are digitally skilled, engaged, and innovative, and who welcome change. It is of great importance that you dare to think new and use future digital tools to make smart and sustainable business decisions, and actively participate in our development work. In other respects, you are cooperative, structured, creative, and analytical as a person.
You have a post-secondary education in purchasing, economics, law, or another relevant direction, or you have equivalent competence through longer work experience in purchasing. Additionally, you must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
A minimum of two years of experience in public procurement is required.
As the municipality's representative towards suppliers, you have a business-ethical and impartial approach. It is obvious that you have a genuine interest in purchasing and procurement issues, and we highly value personal suitability.
We consider it meritorious if you have experience with:
- Project management or change management
- Ability to participate physically in Karlskoga
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, Start date: September.
The position requires you to provide a certificate of good conduct from the police. You must request the certificate yourself from the Swedish Police Authority using the form "Extract from the criminal record" in the form archive on the police website.
