Nordmarken School is located in the southern part of Årjäng's urban area and is the municipality's largest school. It is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 700 students and over 100 staff members. The school campus comprises three different buildings, two of which are relatively new. One building is for grades 1-6, one for grades 7-9, and one for preschool class, after-school care, and preparatory class.

The lower secondary school (grades 7-9) is the municipality's only lower secondary school, with approximately 330 students. The school was built in 2015, and every student has access to their own computer. The student body represents a cross-section of our society, and approximately 60 staff members work at the school. Teaching is adapted to the students' needs, and the staff has high expectations that students will achieve good results.

We have a well-functioning support system aimed at identifying students quickly and providing early support. The school employs special needs teachers, special educators, counselors, school nurses, and study and career counselors. Through the student health service, access to school psychologists and school doctors is also available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable craft teacher in textiles for grades 3-9 who wants to become part of Nordmarken School and Svensbyn School.

As a craft teacher, you will work in a team with a strong focus on collaboration and support, both within the team and with other subject colleagues. You will play an important role in supporting students' development, both linguistically and socially. Creativity and cultural creation are a natural part of our school's core values, and we see it as a shared responsibility to create an environment where students thrive and reach their full potential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Teacher's degree with eligibility to teach textile crafts for grades 3-9
• Good knowledge of crafts
• Experience of teaching in primary school is meritorious
• Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Good teamwork skills and experience working in subject and work teams
• Interest in developing teaching with the support of digital tools
• Commitment to students' knowledge development and well-being

Meritorious:

Experience and knowledge of ADHD/Autism (NPF).
