Markverkstad Öst is one of nine departments within the Workshop Unit (MvE), which currently belongs to the Army Staff. Mv East consists of approximately 65 employees and operates in Eksjö, Linköping, and Kvarn.
We perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and deliver technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspection, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment investigation. We deliver services according to customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities
As a vehicle mechanic, you will primarily work with troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles used within the Swedish Armed Forces, such as light and heavy wheeled vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, construction machinery, patrol vehicles, tracked vehicles, and other heavier military vehicles. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as modification and reconstruction based on established specifications.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- We are looking for you who have completed at least a two- or three-year upper secondary education with a focus on vehicle technology or equivalent, or alternatively, competence acquired through professional experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Computer literacy
- Category B driver's license (minimum)

Meritorious
- Swedish Armed Forces' mechanic training on any vehicle system is desirable.
- C or CE driver's license
- Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and equipment maintenance in the Swedish Armed Forces
- Experience with maintenance of heavy vehicles
- Hydraulic knowledge
- AC refrigeration training with qualifications
- Forklift license
- Experience working with vehicle diagnostic systems and vehicle electronics
