Description

We are now looking for a housing support worker who wants to help develop our family-oriented housing support.

Here, you work closely with families where a parent needs support in daily life. Through a family-oriented approach, we strengthen parents' abilities and create better conditions for the children. This assignment is new to us in the municipality, so you will be part of building up the role together with supervisors and colleagues at the authority.

Job Responsibilities

As a housing support worker, you provide pedagogical, social, and practical support to individuals and families in their homes and local environment.

The work includes, among other things:

  • supporting parents in daily structure and planning
  • providing support in parenting and meeting the children's needs
  • working with household routines such as cooking, cleaning, and planning
  • participating in network meetings and collaborating with other actors, such as schools, social services, and healthcare
  • accompanying to meetings or activities when necessary
  • working based on implementation plans together with the family

The work is carried out both independently and together with colleagues in a team.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekend according to the individual's need for support. You have an operation-adapted schedule that you plan yourself.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree from the Care and Nursing Programme, Child and Youth Programme, or another equivalent education of 200 vocational higher education credits or 120 university credits.

We would like you to have experience working with people with mental illness and neuropsychiatric disabilities, and be good at building relationships and structure. You are a flexible person with patience.

You also have good knowledge of Swedish society and its various functions. We want you to have experience working with families and are accustomed to collaboration.

Since we work with the PYC method, it is meritorious if you have that training.

We place great importance on personal suitability and preferably see that you have experience with the target group.

A B driver's license is a requirement.

The position is a project employment for one year with the possibility of extension.
