We are now looking for an experienced and business-driven Purchaser who wants to take overall responsibility for selected purchasing categories and supplier relationships. The role offers a combination of strategic, tactical, and operational purchasing work where you get the opportunity to influence the company's results through professional negotiations, business development, and cross-functional collaboration.

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for purchases within assigned segments and purchasing categories in accordance with the company's purchasing policy and strategy. You have overall commercial responsibility and work actively to ensure cost-effective solutions, optimize the supplier base, and create long-term value for the business.

You will be a key person in the company's strategic change work and drive cross-functional projects together with internal stakeholders within production, engineering, finance, and business development.

• Responsible for the purchasing process within assigned categories and segments.

• Negotiate commercial terms and sign contracts according to current authorization rules.

• Ensure that purchases of direct and indirect materials as well as services are conducted in a business-like and cost-effective manner.

• Work from a Total Cost of Ownership perspective to maximize value and utility.

• Drive strategic change and improvement projects within the area of responsibility.

• Ensure correct demand forecast for direct materials.

• Follow up on deliveries, handle deviations and complaints, and communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and monitor market trends, supplier development, and new business opportunities.

• Participate in and lead cross-functional projects.

• Work with system and parameter maintenance within the area of responsibility.

• Prepare reports, statistics, analyses, and follow-ups.

• Contribute to the development of the company's purchasing processes and support managers and requisitioners in purchasing-related matters.

• Handle sales orders and prepare documentation for invoicing and rental income.

• An academic degree in economics, engineering, or equivalent experience.

• At least five years of experience in qualified purchasing work.

• Multi-year experience in strategic, tactical, and operational purchasing.

• Documented experience of successful negotiations and contract work.

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

• Good knowledge of the Office package.

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Movex or equivalent.

• Technical understanding and experience from industrial operations.

• Experience in project management.

• Experience in change management and cross-functional development work.

Working hours: daytime Monday-Friday, possibility of some flextime. Remote work possible up to 6 times per calendar year.

Any interviews with the client will take place after the vacation weeks, i.e., after week 31. However, Arena Personal will start the search immediately.
