Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.

What You Will Work On

• Perform mechanical design and development activities within chassis engineering for defence vehicle applications
• Develop and improve vehicle chassis systems and related components
• Drive and coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) throughout the product development lifecycle
• Conduct technical requirement analysis and feasibility assessments
• Support concept development and solution evaluation activities
• Produce, maintain, and update technical drawings and design documentation
• Coordinate prototype builds, prototype orders, and development activities
• Support verification and validation of design functionality
• Participate in project planning, reviews, and technical coordination meetings
• Monitor project progress and support achievement of development milestones
• Investigate customer-reported issues and internal test deviations
• Perform root cause analysis and support corrective action implementation
• Contribute technical expertise to deviation management and problem-solving activities
• Maintain and update defence-specific technical specifications
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and platform updates
• Collaborate closely with engineering, testing, manufacturing, and project teams

What You Bring

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Strong experience in vehicle development or chassis engineering environments
• Proven experience in mechanical design and product development
• Experience working with technical requirements and concept development
• Experience managing engineering changes and product modifications
• Strong understanding of design processes and engineering documentation
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience working within complex technical development projects
• Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken
