The Fortifications Authority is one of Sweden's largest property owners and experts in fortification, i.e., protection and facility technology. Our main task is to contribute to increased defense capability for a secure and free Sweden.
Your daily life as an operations technician – strengthening Sweden's total defense
We are an engaged and cohesive team consisting of 13 operations technicians and an operations manager who together are responsible for the property portfolio in the Boden garrison. Our assignment covers operation, supervision, maintenance, and upkeep of the properties within the district. Now we are looking for an operations technician who wants to become part of the team and contribute to our important work.
Here you will find a complete infrastructure with its own low-voltage network as well as heating, water, and sewage networks. The position involves various operational assignments within the district with technical installations such as electricity, heating, fire alarms, ventilation, cooling, and water/sewage.
Initially, your work will focus on media monitoring. You will perform media meter replacements, cable pulling, and configuration in our overarching system. You will have the responsibility as media coordinator within the operations district, which means you administer and follow up on media consumption in the media and energy module in our business system Faciliate. You will also have operational responsibility for your own property portfolio. Additional assignments and smaller construction and technical projects where you are expected to contribute also occur.
The position includes daily customer and supplier contacts, both independent and collaborative assignments, as well as administrative work in several IT support systems. On-call duty may be included in the employment.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have the following:
- Completed upper secondary education or university college degree with a focus on electricity/automation. Even if you have training as an operations technician with work experience in electricity/automation, it can be relevant for the position.
- Good administrative skills and good computer literacy in various IT support systems such as the Office package.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and are a Swedish citizen.
- Driver's license, class B
The following is considered meritorious:
- Post-secondary education in electricity/automation
- Training in control and regulation technology
- Experience with overarching control systems EcoStruxure, TAC Vista, Kiona Web port
- Training or experience in ventilation/HVAC
- Experience with service and fault reporting.
- Experience with work involving supervision and maintenance of properties.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be mobilized for war duty. The location is Boden. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security screening with register check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
