The defense industry is in a strong phase of development where technical competence and quality are crucial. Jefferson Wells is now looking for a Mechanical Designer for one of our clients in the defense industry in Karlstad. Here you will work in an advanced technical environment, developing and further developing complex products together with experienced colleagues.

About the assignment
As a Mechanical Designer, you are responsible for the design and further development of mechanical solutions as well as handling design changes. You work to ensure that product data and technical documentation are correct and up-to-date according to current processes. The assignment includes both new development and product maintenance. You collaborate closely with project managers, production, purchasing, and other functions. You will become part of a team where you are expected to work independently and contribute to efficient working methods and high quality in deliveries.

You are meticulous, responsible, and have the ability to drive your work forward independently. At the same time, you are a team player who finds it easy to collaborate with different functions and contribute to the team's common results.
As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and communicative. You thrive in an international environment with many contact points and have a natural ability to collaborate and build trust.

We would like you to have:

• Three to eight years of experience in mechanical design
• Experience with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, or equivalent
• Experience in product development in a technically complex environment
• Understanding of change management and work with product structures
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Experience with PLM systems or work in regulated operations is meritorious

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current regulations for security clearance. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
