About Stadsöskolan

Stadsöskolan is a well-equipped school for grades 4-9 located in Gammelstad, approximately one mile from Luleå city center, midway between Kyrkbyn and the Lule River. This academic year, the school has approximately 430 students, with 170 of them in the lower secondary level. Students and staff at Stadsöskolan thrive, feel safe, and enjoy a good working climate. Adjacent to the school are a sports hall, swimming pool, library, youth center, and other local services such as a pharmacy, hairdresser, grocery store, café, health center, and public dental care. Since there are several frequent bus routes to and from Gammelstad, commuting to and from school is easy.

At our school, we place the student and their knowledge at the center, viewing relationship-building as a fundamental component. Here, student welfare begins in the classroom with good leadership, conscious pedagogy, and good collaboration among colleagues. We work with an inclusive approach to create a good and safe environment for all our students, and we value good cooperation with homes. Our students should feel joy and enthusiasm for their learning and should thrive and feel safe in their school environment to develop as much as possible.

Construction of Gammelstad's new F-9 school will soon begin. It will be a large workplace with much wisdom and experience gathered in one place. We have an exciting time ahead as we get to help shape a new, modern school.

Responsibilities

You plan and carry out activities adapted to the students' needs and participate actively in the pedagogical work during both school days and after-school care. As a student assistant, you are an important support for students in both their knowledge development and social interaction. You work closely with teachers, student welfare, and after-school care staff to create a safe, structured, and developmental learning environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience in pedagogical work and a high school diploma. It is an advantage if you have relevant education, for example, as a student assistant or from the Child and Youth Care program. Experience working with children in need of special support is also an advantage.

You have good ability to collaborate and follow routines and instructions in a responsible manner. You actively contribute to a safe and positive learning environment. As a person, you are:

Employment Terms

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment (Temporary employment from 2026-08-13 to 2026-12-22) with the possibility of extension.
Duration: 3-6 months.
Number of positions: 1
