RESPONSIBILITIES

Östra Lugnet School is a grades F-6 school with just over 400 students. The school is located in the northern part of Växjö urban area, close to Evedal and its associated nature area. We view systematic quality work and building a learning and sustainable organization as important factors to ensure good quality in operations, as well as to create a safe and developmental workplace for both students and staff. The school has clear goals, assignments, and structures aimed at promoting meaningfulness, comprehensibility, and manageability, thereby increasing quality and equity in the school.

Do you care about creating safety and good relationships with children and young people? We are now looking for an engaged student assistant with the drive to create conditions and contribute together to ensure our students are well, develop, and learn together to meet the future. We are looking for a student assistant with experience in student-oriented work with students in need of special support. Here, you will work in a team, collaborating closely with the Student Health Service, which plays a significant role in meeting all students' needs for support and adjustments at both group and individual levels, together with the teachers.

In the role of student assistant, you work with students both during the school day and in the after-school care activities. You work both individually with students and with several in smaller groups, and your task is to guide and support students throughout the day. Through low-affective interaction, clarifying pedagogy, and conversations with the students, you work to create safety and develop the student's social development and learning. In collaboration with other staff, you work to promote the student's meaningfulness, comprehensibility, and manageability throughout the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a student assistant education or other education that can be assessed as equivalent. You have a genuine interest in children's learning and have the child's best interest in focus. You have a health-promoting and solution-focused approach, as well as the ability to create good and trusting relationships.

You have a good ability to communicate and to work both independently and in close collaboration with others. You create good relationships with guardians to promote collaboration between school and home. A desire to develop yourself and the operations is important at our school.

You have good knowledge of meeting students' different needs, being able to handle unpredictable situations, and being open to changes. You have a calm and patient approach and a desire to always keep the child's best interest in focus.

Merits include experience from working with students in need of special support with various functional variations, such as intellectual, physical, and neuropsychiatric. We place great importance on personal suitability.
