The position is located within the Social Services Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Administration is responsible for exercising authority, ordering interventions, and providing services directly in the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. We ensure that all residents receive the support they are entitled to.

Your responsibilities
In the role of support pedagogue, you work with individuals with physical, mental, and/or intellectual disabilities. You work together with the individual based on their needs, and together you create a meaningful daily life where the key words are independence and participation. Your tasks involve providing support in both daily life and leisure activities, personal care, health, and functional capacity. You provide pedagogical support and work consciously to ensure that the individual uses and develops their abilities as independently as possible. The job also involves being the link to society, where you may need to assist with communication with authorities and healthcare, among others. In addition to these tasks, you will also clean, do laundry, make purchases, and handle medications.
We work with IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), which means that you have the individual's needs in focus. You are the contact person and are responsible for structuring and planning the individual's daily life together with them, as well as jointly designing the interventions provided. The scope and content of the interventions always stem from the individual's needs and well-being and are established through an implementation plan. You are responsible for updating and revising the implementation plan and keeping it current. The job also involves documenting and recording in the Treserva system. As a contact person, you also have contact with relatives and other external parties.
You work both independently and in a team. As a support pedagogue, you have a supplementary assignment to inspire, monitor the external environment, and support colleagues in the methods and tools used pedagogically in the operations.
Your workplace
Are you our new colleague? You are an important piece in our work to create good days for the individual, the operation, and the staff group. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to become part of our work group. The position is a permanent employment with a working time of 90-100%. Your working hours are scheduled for day, evening, sleeping on-call, and weekends.
Blåbärsvägen 82 is a residence for people with intellectual disabilities with moderate care needs. The group home is aimed at a target group aged 30-60 years. The individuals need help with guidance, care, social contacts, as well as interaction, structure, and routines. There may be some challenging behavior. The individual lives in their own apartment with access to a shared kitchen, living room, and balcony. The user normally travels to their daily activity, but home training occurs on certain days of the week. Activities are based on the user's wishes and may involve cooking together and enjoying a good meal, regular walks, and other things that enhance community and well-being. We have the opportunity to do activities using the operation's car, which is a pleasant addition to everyday life.
The operation is nicely located in Sturefors, approx. 11 km outside Linköping. There are good bus connections here, and it is also nice to cycle on the fine cycle path that takes you through beautiful nature to Sturefors. You who apply
We are looking for you who have a University College degree as a support pedagogue or other education assessed as equivalent, and have experience or practice in support, care, and social services. If you have previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, physical and/or mental disabilities, as well as experience with low-affective handling and positive behavioral support, this is considered meritorious. The users have limitations in verbal communication, and therefore knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication, such as picture support, is also desirable. The work involves many customer contacts and documentation, which means that it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is meritorious if you have experience documenting in journal systems, implementation plans, and working based on IBIC. A category B driver's license is required as we use the car in the work.
To succeed in the role, we see that you are self-reliant, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward. You have good cooperation skills and work well with other people, are sensitive and communicative. You ensure that messages are clear and reach their target and that expectations are clear for all involved parties. You have an empathetic ability and can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations without taking over the person's feelings.
