Midwife at the Delivery Unit in Hudiksvall

The delivery unit in Hudiksvall handles approximately 900 births per year, starting from gestational week 32. We offer an obstetric outpatient service as well as a postnatal ward (BB) with eight beds, where partners have the opportunity to stay overnight. We work according to a method we call NSF (Newborn Cohesive Family), where we strive for zero separation between mother and child. Through close collaboration with the Neonatal Unit (NEO), we aim to achieve this goal.

We are now looking for you who are a registered midwife and have a genuine interest in caring for women and newborn babies. We work as a strong team that collaborates across boundaries, and we value a good work environment and camaraderie. We welcome your application!

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a midwife, you will meet women and families at different stages of life. You will play a key part in promoting health and well-being. The work is varied and educational, where you provide care and support to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. The position includes day, evening, and occasional night shifts.

Your duties will include, among other things:

• Rotating between the delivery unit and the postnatal ward.
• Care and support for newly delivered women and newborn babies.
• Performing other usual midwifery tasks.
