Polyamp specializes in power supply products and systems designed to protect ships from magnetic mines. We handle our own development and manufacturing of AC/DC and DC/DC converters. Our specialty is voltage converters with high reliability, intended for use in harsh environments. Polyamp specializes in the design and manufacturing of systems for mine countermeasures equipment for Swedish and international naval forces. We also manufacture sensors to measure electric fields underwater, serving both civilian and naval military applications. This means we also possess modeling and measurement tools, as well as unique expertise in underwater signatures. Our headquarters are located in Sollentuna, while manufacturing takes place in Åtvidaberg, where this position is based.

Job Information
Professionals Nord, in collaboration with Polyamp, is seeking an Electronics Engineer who wants to work with the future of switched-mode power electronics, where your solutions will become reality in products used in civilian and naval military applications. Polyamp specializes in the design and manufacturing of systems for mine countermeasures equipment for Swedish and international naval forces. The company also manufactures sensors to measure underwater electric fields, with applications in both civilian and military sectors.
You will become a central part of the development work and will primarily work on-site in Åtvidaberg, where proximity to colleagues and collaboration are key parts of daily life. Responsibilities
- Develop AC/DC and DC/DC solutions with a focus on isolated topologies – robust, efficient, and reliable.
- Perform PCB layout with a focus on low EMI, high efficiency, electrical safety, and thermal management.
- Conduct verification: develop series tests and efficiency measurements to ensure functionality.
- Drive design reviews and support production, ensuring that solutions can be manufactured and work in practice.
- Take responsibility for the entire process: requirements, prototype, testing, delivery, and improvements.
We are looking for someone who has
- At least 5 years of experience in electronics design.
- Good understanding of modern semiconductors (SiC/GaN) and their layout requirements.
- Experience with embedded systems, preferably with PIC microcontrollers for control and protection functions.
- Familiarity with lab testing (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, electronic loads).
- Experience with PCB-CAD tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD).
- Very good verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
Additional qualifications include experience with digital control (MCU/DSP), industry-specific standards (IEC, UL), and knowledge of DFM/DFT, production testing, and simulation (LTspice/PSPICE).
The position requires you to undergo a security clearance that is approved according to current security protection regulations.
