We are looking for an Occupational Therapist for the rehabilitation unit at the hospital, with placement on two wards: a geriatric ward with five beds, focused on rehabilitation, and a surgical ward with approximately 24 beds. The geriatric ward cares for patients over 65 years of age who require geriatric care or continued rehabilitation. We work in a team-based manner on the ward. On the surgical ward, you will meet patients who have undergone surgical examinations or operations, as well as patients with traumatic injuries.
We are a dedicated work group that works together with a focus on person-centered care, a rehabilitative approach, and a strong desire to develop. We are now looking for you who are a dedicated occupational therapist with a willingness to grow and develop together with us.
Visby Hospital is beautifully located by the sea and is a smaller emergency hospital with many different specialties. This means that during leave and other absences, we support each other across operational boundaries, which provides good opportunities to both deepen your competence and simultaneously develop a broad knowledge base.
As an employee with us, you will receive one wellness hour per week and a generous wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year.
Your responsibilities
Common tasks include new assessments, ADL (Activities of Daily Living) assessments, cognitive assessments, and assessment/prescription of assistive devices. You will have close collaboration with physiotherapists and other team members. You will also have contact with social secretaries, the assistive device center, the home care rehabilitation team, and outpatient care.
Who are you?
You who are applying are a licensed Occupational Therapist. Experience from inpatient care is meritorious, and experience within geriatrics and surgery is particularly meritorious.
You are curious, independent, and responsible. You want to develop in your professional role and participate actively in the development of the operations. You appreciate being part of a team and collaborating closely with colleagues.
The work requires your ability to plan and prioritize your tasks, even in situations where you need to adapt quickly. You communicate well and are clear both in your communication and in your approach.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Selection for interviews takes place on a rolling basis. Background checks via extracts from the criminal record register are conducted prior to employment decisions.
