Instructor for Internal Training, District 2
Rescue Service South East (Räddningstjänsten Sydost) has been a municipal association since 2023-01-01, responsible for rescue services for approximately 180,000 residents in the municipalities of Borgholm, Emmaboda, Högsby, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, Nybro, Oskarshamn, and Torsås.
We employ 560 staff members, of whom 370 are employed in the Rescue Industry Business (RIB) model. Our operations are based at 22 RIB stations and four full-time stations. Our main task is to provide equal and satisfactory protection against accidents concerning human life and health, as well as property and the environment. Our work is guided by the political board, which decides on budgets, goals, and principal agency matters. Our values are rooted in our residents, ourselves as employers, and our employees.
We are now looking for an instructor for Internal Training in District 2, which covers the stations in Nybro, Emmaboda, and Torsås municipalities.
About the Role
As an instructor in Internal Training, you will have a position with significant autonomy and good opportunities to influence your workday. Flexible working hours contribute to a good balance between work and private life.

Responsibilities
You will work with internal training, exercises, and development. There will be a strong focus on working in the Daedalos system and with the exercise module "Säkra brandmän" (Secure Firefighters).
You will manage several projects simultaneously and support your colleagues in other districts. In this way, the entire South East Rescue Service Organization (RTSO) serves as your service area, although District 2 is your area of responsibility.
The position is a daytime role, and the workplace is in the southern part of the association, depending on your place of residence. Internal Training operates across the entire RTSO, and travel to different parts of the association will be required.
Some work during evenings and weekends may occur.
Typical tasks include:
- Creating and administering exercise schedules
- Updating and developing exercises
- Induction training for operational personnel
- Mentoring GRIB (Local Rescue Associations)
- Organizing exercise teams
- Logistics planning
- Training civilian resource groups
- Preparing exercises, etc.
Organizationally, the position falls under the Unit Manager for Operational Planning and Development, and you will be supervised by the Coordinator for Exercises/Development.
Qualifications
We are primarily looking for you who have completed the SMO/Firefighter full-time education. If you have other rescue service education and competencies suitable for the position, these will also be considered. Examples of other competencies include completed GRIB training, combined with at least 5 years of experience from operational rescue services.
Personal suitability is highly valued.
Other requirements:- Good communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- Driver's license, class B minimum (Class C is considered an advantage)
Employment type: Permanent position.
Start date: According to agreement.
