Job Description

As a preschool teacher in the team, you will work with leading instruction at preschools that lack permanent preschool teachers. In this assignment, you will have at least two preschools at a time and work on a term basis at these preschools. The assignment involves holiday cover duties.

In addition to the role as a preschool teacher, the following general duties apply to preschool teachers in work teams. Under the direction of the principal, you will among other things:

• Guide work teams to ensure that instruction takes place according to the curriculum's goals.
• Support/coach work teams to develop and work towards high and equal quality in the operations.
• Lead identified processes that develop learning and contribute to goal fulfillment.
• Work in children's groups to conduct instruction during both planned and spontaneous occasions, and to take advantage of children's interests and promote their participation in the instruction.
• Work in children's groups to be a good role model in the preschool during all activities that occur in the daily routine.
• Keep informed about current research and disseminate it in the operations/instruction.
• Work to secure instruction so that it is based on scientific grounds and proven experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified preschool teacher. You have good cooperation skills and are independent, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented. A positive attitude is a prerequisite. You have an interest in developing new work methods and spreading knowledge and experiences to colleagues. You must also have shown a particularly good ability to improve the operation's goal fulfillment and a strong interest in developing instruction in preschool. As a person, you must otherwise be assessed by the employer as particularly qualified for instruction and tasks related to instruction and possess good experience of preschool operations. You have a particularly good ability to drive the development of instruction and learning, have an interest in participating in current research in areas relevant to preschool instruction, and have an ambition to connect theory and practice.

You should also have the ability to supervise others in collegial learning with good results and the ability to work systematically with evaluation, analysis, and follow-up.

You must have worked for at least 5 years as a preschool teacher.
