About the unit

The Weather Department belongs to the Flight Unit at F 7 Såtenäs. The department's main task is to manage the local weather service and provide flying units and other personnel with weather data for planning and execution. As a Meteorological Assistant, you are a support to the department heads both administratively and as a coordinator for smaller projects. You also work regularly with practical weather observation services.

Main duties

Main duties consist of being an administrative support to the department heads, maintaining qualifications, and performing observation services. Participate in and contribute to the training of new weather observers and, if necessary, train air traffic controllers in observation services. Act as a support for department heads in managing the weather observation service at your own unit. Participate in training activities, both nationally and internationally. Perform physical activity, both individually and in groups.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience with administrative tasks
• Category B driver's license for manual transmission
• Swedish citizenship and approved security clearance

Salary: We work with individual and differentiated salary setting. The lowest placement for this position is 32,000 SEK/month; we also take previous work experience and competence into account.

The position entails requirements for physical and mental capacity. Travel for work and personal training occurs. On-call duty outside regular working hours occurs. Since both the position and tasks are linked to a wartime organization, you will also be war-placed in our organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you during heightened readiness.
