About the job

To our maintenance department, we are now looking for a maintenance engineer who will serve as an expert in the field of supervision and inspection. Your task is to provide the plant operators with the necessary documentation, information, and training to create good prerequisites for safe operations.

In your future role as Maintenance Inspector, you will

Be responsible for the site's control and inspection activities within the business area, ensuring they are carried out cost-effectively and in a manner that meets the requirements set by authorities.

The business area covers static equipment, pressure-containing devices, tanks and pipes, lifting equipment, pressure testing, boilers, and other items within the scope of FLT. You will work in close collaboration with, among others, maintenance engineers, technicians, and operators.

• Be responsible for the development and follow-up of control and inspection plans for your area of responsibility.
• Be responsible for optimizing and developing inspection work, e.g., by applying for permits for extended inspection intervals or the use of new testing methods.
• Have the authority to establish control requirements in project activities.
• Be responsible for FU (Follow-Up) plans within the inspection & control area.
• Monitor changes in legislation and regulations in collaboration with the HSE department.
• Inform relevant personnel on site about changes.
• Participate in the review of designs and design documentation, as well as in the supervision of manufacturing/assembly.
• Actively participate in and drive improvement work within the inspection area, and lead and participate in root cause analyses and investigations (RCPS).

We believe you have

• Post-secondary education in fields such as machinery, operations, or a comparable relevant specialization.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have

• Previous work experience in inspection (KIWA, surveying, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of AFS 2023:11 and AFS 2023:5, as well as other governing regulations within the business area.
