The Property Department is responsible for ensuring that the municipality's properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. We work both strategically and operationally with operations, maintenance, facility care, and property development – from ongoing service to advisory services, project management, and long-term planning. Together, we create sustainable environments where the municipality's operations can function and develop. We are now looking for a Construction Project Manager for the Property Department.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will work in a client role for projects, either in connection with new construction and reconstruction, operational changes, or planned maintenance measures for properties. The projects cover all of the municipality's properties and can encompass the entire construction process from early-stage investigations to handover for management.

The role includes responsibility for budget, forecast, schedule, as well as function and quality. In your assignments, you will have many contacts both within the municipality and with external actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least 3–5 years of experience from similar tasks, for example in a role as foreman, site manager, project manager, construction manager, or consultant. We would prefer that you have relevant education and/or experience that the employer considers sufficient.

You find it easy to collaborate and are good at planning and organizing your work. We believe that you also have good analytical skills, a structured approach to work, and are always business-minded in your actions. You are keen on meeting deadlines and achieving results with high quality.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The role involves many interfaces and information exchange, so you are expected to handle the Swedish language fluently in both speech and writing.

A valid Category B driver's license is required.

Other Information

In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record registers are required.

We welcome knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security classes, so security clearance may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
