Arboga Municipality and the Child and Education Administration are currently seeking substitute teachers (hourly staff) for special needs schools to cover short-term absences of permanent staff.

Job Responsibilities

At the special needs school, we work in teams. You will work as additional support for students or in after-school centers.

You will be employed through the Staffing Unit and are responsible for continuously updating your availability in the Time Care Pool system to indicate when you can work. Shift bookings are made via SMS, and you must be able to arrive at the workplace within a maximum of 45 minutes after receiving the booking SMS.

Qualifications

You have a high school diploma and are trained as a resource teacher (resurspedagog), or have previous experience working in special needs schools. We prefer candidates with experience working with children with special needs, but this is not a requirement. Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is mandatory. You must have passed SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) level D.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and has a genuine interest and respect for each student's needs. Personal suitability is highly valued.

In our operations, the Act on Register Checks (2000:873) applies. To work as a substitute teacher, a clean certificate from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register is required. This can be ordered digitally via the "School or Preschool" e-service on the Police Authority's website and is valid for work in preschools and schools.
