This is a direct recruitment where you will be employed directly by Skyddsvärnet, but Beteendevetarpoolen Sverige AB is responsible for the recruitment process.

About the Role

Beteendevetarpoolen is now recruiting a driven and results-oriented Family Home Consultant who wants to contribute to the development of Skyddsvärnet's family home operations in Gävle and surrounding areas.

This is a remote-based position with a home office base, where you work independently but with close collaboration with the team and the client.

This is a unique opportunity for you who have experience in social work and a strong interest in business development, relationship-building work, and qualified family home work.

In the role, you are responsible for recruiting and investigating new family homes, as well as receiving and matching placement requests from clients. An important part of the job is also to build and develop collaborations with caseworkers within both social services and the prison and probation service, to map needs and demand in the area.

During ongoing placements, you work closely with the family homes through regular visits and continuous contact. You provide support based on the placed individual's specific needs, which may be related to, for example, crime, substance abuse, addiction, NPD diagnoses, honor-related violence, as well as care or protection needs.

As a Family Home Consultant, you work with Skyddsvärnet's family homes in and around Gävle, which means that travel within the region is a natural part of the role. The work is largely independent and requires good initiative-taking and responsibility. When you are not out on assignments, there is an opportunity to work remotely from any location.

The role involves mobile work where you thrive on being on the move, meeting people in person, and building long-term relationships. At the same time, you become part of an engaged team that collaborates closely despite geographical spread.

Qualifications

Competency Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in social work, for example, behavioral science, social work degree (socionom), or other equivalent education
  • Category B driver's license (mandatory)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Experience of independent work with planning and responsibility
  • Good administrative skills and habit of documenting and following up interventions

Experience (Mandatory Requirements)

  • Experience in social work, preferably within children, young people, or family home care
  • Experience in outreach/relational work, recruitment, or collaboration
  • Experience of collaboration with social services and/or the prison and probation service
  • Experience of working with people in complex life situations (e.g., substance abuse, crime, NPD, or protection needs)
  • Experience of representing an organization in external contacts and building trustful relationships

Meritorious Experience

  • Experience of family home care or HVB (residential care for children and youth)
  • Experience of authority exercise within social services
  • Experience of supervisory or supportive work
  • Experience of consultative or business development work
  • Experience of long-term collaboration and relationship work
  • Experience of working in organizations with high demands on independence and flexibility

Language Skills

  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, in both speech and writing
  • Good ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in communication and documentation
  • Advantageous with knowledge of additional languages

Certificates/Driver's License

  • Category B driver's license
  • Access to a personal car
