We are currently seeking 10 substitute teachers for primary schools in Arboga Municipality to cover short-term absences of permanent staff. Arboga Municipality has six primary schools, and the Department of Children and Education needs you to contribute to a good study environment.
Job Responsibilities
You will work in the school either as a teaching assistant, providing extra support to students, or at the leisure center. As a teaching substitute, you may work independently in a classroom with a lesson plan as support. You will help students reach their learning goals and contribute to a positive study environment. As extra support, you will work together with teachers in the classroom and at the leisure center, both during and after school hours.
You will work through the Staffing Unit and continuously update your availability in the Time Care Pool system. Bookings are made via SMS, and you must be able to arrive at the workplace within a maximum of 45 minutes from when the booking is sent.
Qualifications
You have a high school diploma and are trained as a childcare worker, or have previous experience working in a school. We prefer candidates who are studying to become teachers or are considering studying to become teachers. Experience working with children is an advantage but not a requirement. You must have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have passed SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) level D.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and has a genuine interest and respect for each student's needs. Personal suitability is of great importance.
In accordance with the Act on Register Checks (2000:873), a clean certificate from the Swedish Police Authority is required to work as a substitute. This certificate can be ordered digitally via the Police Authority's e-service "School or Preschool".
