Welcome to a team of case workers where we are looking for a new colleague. As a case worker, you are part of the Social Care Administration's authority function, which aims to benefit the residents of Falun and be easy to collaborate with.

The Authority Section consists of three areas, one of which is Authority for Social Psychiatry. The target group for social psychiatry is individuals aged 18 and over who have a mental disability that causes significant difficulties in daily life and have a long-term need for support.

We are in a phase of development where we need to innovate and think new thoughts. This means we must uphold the intentions of the Social Services Act (SoL), which include being preventive, easily accessible, and working with a knowledge-based approach. We respect people's self-determination and integrity. By creating equal and fair conditions, the authority contributes to social and economic sustainability.

Responsibilities

As a case worker, you receive applications, gather background information for investigations, make decisions, and follow up on all ongoing decisions. You must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing to investigate, document, and file cases. We use the Treserva business system for all documentation. You must also be able to plan your daily work independently and find a structure in everyday life, together with the team. The role also involves cross-sectoral collaboration with managers, colleagues, other administrations, municipalities, and other principal authorities.

Qualifications

Required for the role:

• Social work degree or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Valid B-class driver's license.

You who apply for this position should be engaged and willing to take responsibility for the tasks. You have good judgment for making assessments and can work together in a team. We support you to work independently. Decisions made can be both positive and negative, so you need to be able to convey information clearly and informatively to those applying for services from us.

Meritorious qualifications

• Knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL).
• Knowledge of the target group with a focus on social psychiatry.
• Experience working as a case worker and with authority functions.
• Knowledge and experience working with IBIC.
• Knowledge and experience working in the Treserva business system.

Employment terms

The position is a temporary vacancy for up to five months, with a scope of 100%. There may be an opportunity to extend the temporary contract slightly.
