Assistant Nurse (Undersköterska) at Södertull Health Centre

Södertull Health Centre is located in the south of central Gävle in a beautiful historic building, within walking distance of the city center and train station, with good public transport connections. We have approximately 45 employees. Our facilities include a doctor's office staffed by permanent doctors, a district nurse's office, a laboratory (LAB), Child Health Center (BVC), home care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and a psychosocial team. We are responsible for several care and nursing homes as well as the Migration Agency's detention center in Gävle. We also host several specialist clinics.

Job Responsibilities

At our assistant nurse clinic, you will perform standard assistant nurse duties and assist at doctor and nurse clinics. Some tasks may be delegated.

As an assistant nurse with us, you will work with tasks such as:

• Sample collection (blood draws)
• Dressing changes
• ECG examinations

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is self-initiating and takes the initiative in daily work, while also having a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and other professional groups. With your service-oriented attitude, you always put the patient first and treat everyone with respect and care.

As an assistant nurse, you must:

• Be a certified assistant nurse.

Experience working at a health center or in the Cosmic medical record system is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Information about the title "Assistant Nurse"

As of July 1, 2023, "Assistant Nurse" (Undersköterska) became a protected professional title. This means you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title "Assistant Nurse" within healthcare and social care. You can apply for the certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work within healthcare and social care, but with a different title. In Region Gävleborg, this means the title in your employment contract will be "Care Assistant" (Omvårdnadsassistent) until your certificate is submitted.
