The Management Office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The Management Office is led by the Regional Director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a governing, supportive, and coordinating role, the Management Office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations so that the political direction is implemented across the region's various operations. In this way, Region Uppsala can assume its role, both regionally and nationally.
Do you want to develop and contribute to the growth of Region Uppsala? We welcome you to work with us!
Region Uppsala has the state mandate to drive regional development work in Uppsala County. The Department of Regional Development works based on the regional development strategy. We coordinate and drive the county's development together with public, private, and non-profit actors, and the mandate also includes performing tasks within the EU's structural funds. We work for social sustainability and public health, strengthened collaboration regarding competence supply and an inclusive labor market, as well as business development, innovation, and the development of digital infrastructure.
We are now seeking project coordinators for new ESF projects. One project aims to strengthen the competence of staff working with young people who are neither in employment nor education or training (NEETs). The other is a collaboration project focusing on young and adult individuals who are outside the labor market and studies. These take place in collaboration with municipalities from three regions in East Central Sweden with the aim of increasing the target group's prerequisites for entering employment, approaching the labor market, or studies.
As a project coordinator, you have a central, supportive, and coordinating role in the project and work closely with the project manager, project economist, and other project team members in the department. The role is partly administrative but also includes independent work with responsibility for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of the project's activities.
You are responsible for ongoing project documentation and reporting, including participant and time reporting as well as reporting to the ESF. You organize workshops, training sessions, and conferences, lead meetings and processes, and contribute to communication and result collection. The role requires structure, coordination skills, and active personal responsibility.
The position is part of a broad assignment related to an inclusive labor market and environmental scanning. You collaborate with other labor market projects and with strategists for labor market and competence supply, and participate in the development of working methods for externally funded projects. The work is carried out in collaboration with the county's municipalities, the County Administrative Board, other public actors, and civil society. Follow-up, analysis, and consultation responses are also included, as well as the preparation of cases for politics and management.
You have post-secondary education with a focus on pedagogy, labor market, economics, or education that the employer assesses as equivalent competence for the position.
You have experience working with externally funded projects, preferably through the EU's structural funds. You are accustomed to working towards project goals with indicators at the individual, organizational, and project levels. You have good experience with reporting, budget monitoring, and common regulations, as well as the integration of horizontal principles and theory of change.
You are accustomed to being responsible for a meeting structure with both internal and external actors, have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, and good communication skills. Experience working with the project's target group is meritorious, as is experience from politically governed operations concerning the labor market and human rights.
As a person, you are outgoing and have good collaboration skills. You are self-reliant and flexible and have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances. You are systematic and thorough, and have good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively within set timeframes.
You are engaged and result-oriented and enjoy developing and driving processes together with others. You have a holistic view where you consider the best interests of the county in both actions and decisions. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
We offer you the opportunity to influence the development in one of Sweden's fastest-growing regions.
The employment (two positions) is a project employment at 100% from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2029. Start date according to agreement.
