Öhemsskolan is a pleasant primary school (grades F-3) with 145 students. The school has three after-school center departments that work together with activities. The school is located in Gammelstad, approximately 10 km from Luleå. A short walk from the river and the forest, where our school forest is located, offers rich and varied nature to study and visit. We have functioning break activities. Kyrkbyn and the Open-Air Museum Hägnan are nearby, which we utilize because Öhemsskolan is a World Heritage School, implying cooperation with representatives of the World Heritage site. The school has good results. Students, guardians, and educators express that they enjoy being at Öhemsskolan.

We collaborate with Mariebergsskolan, which is located just under 3 km from Öhemsskolan. We have joint competency development for all educators from both schools, among other things, to achieve extended collegial collaboration. Our goal for the coming school year is to continue developing our operations for an accessible school, meaning a school that works for all students. We will have an extra focus on mathematics next school year. All teaching in the school and at the after-school center is based on each student's needs and prerequisites. This presupposes that we constantly develop ourselves. Our goal is that every student gets the prerequisites and feels the desire to learn to develop as far as possible. The students should feel safe and happy during their schooling at Öhemsskolan. We are looking for two enthusiastic educators who want to collaborate with us and contribute to a good after-school activity for our students.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

You will teach and work with students and collaborate with all staff at the school and be part of a work team. Together with your work team, you are responsible for the students' education, development, and well-being. You are responsible for the after-school center activities together with the school's educators in the after-school center. Students at the after-school center should be offered a meaningful leisure time that supports their development and encourages their own initiatives. You plan the activities at the after-school center based on the students' needs, interests, and experiences, but also by challenging the students, offering a varied approach that integrates care and learning. Your planning time is scheduled during school hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher with a focus on after-school centers. It is meritorious if you have professional experience from work within after-school activities, school, or preschool. You have a great ability to see all students and each individual's needs and have a positive attitude. You take responsibility and have good collaboration skills where cooperation with the work team and guardians is a matter of course for the best results. You should bring energy and joy to the work and a willingness to see possibilities for development. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The start date for the position is August 3rd.
