We are one of Sweden's eight adult education associations and have offices across the country, with approximately 70 local branches. The organization consists of seven non-profit associations – a national organization and six regions – with activities within adult education, commissioned work, and preschool/school. We offer adult education independently and in collaboration with our member organizations, associations, and partners.
Medborgarskolan Mitt covers the counties of Värmland, Örebro, Västmanland, Uppsala, Södermanland, Gävleborg, and Dalarna. The region has 9 local offices, several music houses, approximately 65 employees, and around 750 course and circle leaders. We also operate Kullerbyttan Preschool in Säffle, Ekeby School in Sunne, Karlstad Global Gymnasium, and Dansskolan Entré.
Unit Manager for Medborgarskolan Mitt's Eastern Geography
The adult education and commissioned work activities are divided into two geographical areas: the western part (Värmland, Örebro, and Dalarna counties) is led by a Unit Manager based in Karlstad. The Unit Manager for the eastern part (Västmanland, Uppsala, Södermanland, and Gävleborg counties) is based in Uppsala. The 15 employees are located in various places. The position requires some daily commuting to the offices in Gävle, Västerås, and Eskilstuna. The region's headquarters is located in Örebro.
Do you want to lead, develop, and strengthen adult education in a changing time? With us, you will have a developmental and meaningful assignment in an organization where the activities make a socially significant difference – for the individual, society, and democracy. You will become part of a management structure with a clear focus on presence, stability, quality, as well as long-term sustainability and development. You report to the Regional Director, who is also the Adult Education Director, and are part of the management team.
