The Swedish Fortifications Agency is an agency with socially important operations that is experiencing strong growth. One of our main tasks is to develop fortification competence for total defense. The Technology and Development of Fortifications and Properties unit (TUFF) is responsible for fortification protection and consists of five groups; Program, Technical Supply, Product Development, Facilities and Property, and Protection Development, with a total of approximately 65 employees in various specialist roles.
The Protection Development group, consisting of eight employees, is responsible for developing protection technical solutions for total defense, as well as providing technical support and training. The group includes development engineers and specialists in physical protection, UAS/UAV, and signature adaptation.
As a development engineer/specialist in the newly formed group, you will become part of the expert competence within protective products, protection technical solutions, locks, and technical surveillance.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a university or civil engineer with a relevant focus, such as technology, physics, or security and protection. Alternatively, you have other education that the employer considers relevant. It is a requirement that you have previous experience working in technical projects.
The role also requires good knowledge of Swedish and English. You are familiar with using the Office suite and have good administrative skills. As the position involves travel, a Class B driver's license is required. Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be mobilized for war-time service. The location is Eskilstuna. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security clearance with register check will be conducted prior to employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
