At Uddeholms AB, we are looking for employees for the analysis laboratory in Hagfors. Do you have education in chemistry, metallurgy, or extensive experience in laboratory operations? Then this might be the job for you!

The team in the analysis laboratory is looking for a development technician to determine the chemical composition of steel and raw materials.

The laboratory's main task is to perform quality control on steel, raw materials, and by-products from steel production, as well as to support the development of the production process. Together with the team, you will follow up on and validate working methods and equipment, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with decided methods and routines.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include maintaining, developing, and creating new measurement methods and working practices for measurement techniques such as XRF, OES, gas analysis, as well as wet chemical methods such as ICP, AAS, and titration.

The work as a development technician is divided into two focus areas, where each development technician is responsible for specific areas but will also be able to cover the other's part if needed in the future.

Work on creating reference materials and keeping up to date with new technologies in the field will also be part of the responsibilities. The work also includes ongoing updates and reviews of our working methods and standards to ensure that we work safely and with the right quality.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, enjoys working in a structured manner, and likes to collaborate with others to solve tasks and challenges. You should have an interest in working with instruments and machinery and be proactive in the laboratory's and your own development.

You have at least post-secondary education with a focus on chemistry or metallurgy, or alternatively, extensive experience in laboratory work with the aforementioned measurement techniques. You are computer literate and can express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Experience with Lean is an advantage.

The position is a permanent full-time position, daytime hours.

The location is Hagfors.
